ANTALYA is one of Turkey’s principal cities, with a backdrop of the majestic Taurus mountains and the azure waters of the Mediterranean to the fore. At the heart of the modern city is the picturesque old quarter of Kaleiçi with its narrow winding streets and old wooden houses, surrounded by the ancient city walls. There are some beautiful beaches on the outskirts of the city and plenty of history to explore.
Antalya is also the name of the region which lies on the Mediterranean and encompasses some of Turkey’s most popular holiday resorts. Each has their own attractions but all have in common their stunning scenery and beautiful beaches. Kemer is a sophisticated resort in an exceptionally beautiful location and Belek too is a great choice for an upmarket family beach holiday.

MARMARIS is in a stunning natural location, with high mountains plunging down to the sea and a coastline indented with bays and dotted with tiny islands. Surrounded by pine-clad mountains, what was once a small town, known for its honey, fi sh and citrus fruits is now a cosmopolitan resort famed for its hotels, sophisticated modern marina, lively bars and discos and bustling bazaar. A strip of sandy beach runs the length of the resort, the seafront promenade fringed by palms.

ÖLÜDENİZ
The beach of Ölüdeniz, which literally translates as ‘dead sea’, must be one of Turkey’s most famous sights, gracing many a brochure cover. The tranquil lagoon and the public town beach have long been favourites with British visitors to Turkey who love the beautiful scenery, golden sand and relaxed, friendly atmosphere - perfect for a family holiday! Livelier Hisarönü, with its wealth of bars, clubs and restaurants stands on the hillside some 20 minutes drive away whilst the traditional market town of Fethiye, with its natural harbour, is just the other side of the mountain.
